ACT 1

Dressing the Part

As much as each dress has a name and nods to a character, my desire is that you, the wearer, will style this dress however it speaks to you. Which can mean totally different things on different days. Our lives are inconsistent. We can feel like a few different selves on any given day. I think this garment offers a multitude of opportunities to play, and push your own style. It was designed to elevate, be it a day of making breakfast for dinner, or a day packed with meetings at the office, (or on zoom!) You can layer it with a turtleneck and tights and a boot, or dress it down with a sweater overtop (the collar looks lovely peeking out of your favorite crewneck) and a ballet flat. I won’t even begin to get into the possibilities for a glamorous night out!  I’ve worn it as a bathrobe that I could then go grab groceries in with a winter boot and a puffy coat and also on the red carpet.

The point is not to be too precious. The uniqueness of the dress, its modesty and surprising sexiness will lift you up. Take you out of the mundane.  Allow you to be the star of your own movie. Enjoy!  xo
